Storks was productive right from the beginning, scoring six runs in the first five at bats.
Twins Oosterhout was then able to get three runs back, but Storks added two more of its own to record a comfortable victory.
In the top of the first inning, Storks opened the score off of starter Koen Postelmans.
Brendly Martina led off with a bunt-single, then stole second base and advanced to third base when an error followed.
With one out, Martina scored on a single by Yurdion Martie.
A double play ended the at bat, but Storks had taken an early lead.
With two outs in the second inning, Storks doubled its lead.
Kevin van Veen and Gideon Ocalia then singled, which gave the team runners at the corners.
Moments later, Ocalia stole second base, while Van Veen took off and scored in this double-steal situation.
Ocalia stranded on second base.
Storks was retired in order, but added another run in the fourth.
With one out, Sheadion Jamanika singled and stole second base.
He scored when Darren Winklaar followed with a double, who then also was left behind on second base.
In the top of the fifth, Storks rallied for three runs to take more distance and raise the lead to 6-0.
With one out, Brendly Martina walked and stole second base, then Stephen Henson also walked.
Yurdion Martie followed with his second runscoring single, which not only brought in Martina, but also a new pitcher.
Lefthander Tyson Quolas took over.
He began with a pick-off towards first base, which got Martie in a rundown.
However, first baseman Shurman Marlin made a throwing error.
That enabled Henson to score and Martie to reach second base.
The first pitch to batter Ibrahin Redan was a wild pitch.
That brought Martie to third base and he scored when the American lefthander gave up a single to Redan.
With that, Storks now led 6-0.
Redan stranded on second base, as two grounders ended the at bat.
Storks-starter Twan Naessens encountered not much problems in the first four innings, as Twins got only one runner in scoring position.
In the bottom of the first inning, the righthander walked lead-off hitter Rayshelon Carolina, but a doubled play followed.
Initially, Naessens was announced as starter for Game 2 on Saturday.
In the third inning, Diamond Silberie led off for Twins with a single and stole second base.
With one out, he moved to third base when Jerzy van Gool flied out, but was left behind.
Trailing 6-0, Twins got one run back in the bottom of the fifth.
Jarreau Martina led off with a single and stole second base.
With one out, he advanced to third base on a grounder by rookie Luuk Bun and scored on a single by Jerzy van Gool.
After Van Gool had also stolen second base, next batter Rayshelon Carolina walked.
With runners on first and second base, a pitching change followed.
With that, Twan Naessens ended up 1/3 inning short to be eligible to become the winning pitcher.
Gedryon Basilia took over and got an inning-ending flyout.
Basilia ran into problems in the bottom of the sixth.
The righthander struckout the first batter, but then walked Shurman Marlin, gave up a double to Ruendrick Piternella and then runscoring singles to Jarreau Martina and Diamond Silberie.
That led to the next pitching change, as Jayden Gonesh took over with runners on first and second base.
He was the originally announced starter for tonight's game.
Silberie stole second base, but Gonesh closed with two strikeouts.
As mentioned, Tyson Quolas gave up a runscoring single when he took over the pitching for Twins in the top of the fifth inning.
The lefthander struckout the side in the sixth and added two strikeouts in the seventh.
In the eighth inning, Quolas again struckout three batters, but also gave up two unearned runs and he can only blame himself for that.
With one out, he gave up a single to Sheadion Jamanika.
Quolas then made a throwing error during a pick-off attempt to first base, which enabled Jamanika to reach third base.
After having struckout the next batter, the American walked Kevin van Veen.
Quolas then made another throwing error during a pick-off at first base.
This time, both Jamanika and Van Veen were able to score.
Quolas closed with his eighth strikeout, but Storks now led 8-3.
After taking over the pitching in the sixth inning, Jayden Gonesh dominated on the mound for Storks.
The righthander retired all eleven batters he faced, five of them via a strikeout.
With that, he kept Twins from the bases in the final three at bats and was credited with the win.
