Twins Oosterhout opened the score in the first inning, but led only 1-0 after five innings.
The team then rallied for six runs in the sixth to take a decisive lead.
Simon Gross had a good outing on the mound for Twins.
The German righthander gave up only one basehit in the six innings he threw.
Gross struckout four batters, but also walked four.
And he had to throw his six innings with a minimal lead of 1-0.
Storks got two baserunners in the top of the first inning off of Gross.
With one out, Joran Berkhout reached on an error and stole second base, then Yurdion Martie walked.
With two outs, the two runners executed a double steal.
In this situation, Martie sustained an injury and was replaced by pinch-runner Joel Hernandez.
With runners on second and third base, the inning ended with a strikeout.
Hernandez also took over Martie's position as catcher.
Twins then opened the score in its first at bat off of starter Nelmerson Angela.
The lefthander walked lead-off hitter Rayshelon Carolina.
He was awarded second base on a balk, then moved to third base on a passed ball and scored on an one-out single by Jarreau Martina.
Hereafter, Martina stole second base while Shurman Marlin was called out on strikes, but he stranded on second base.
In the top of the third inning, Joran Berkhout doubled for Storks with two outs, but was left behind on second base.
For the team from The Hague, this was the lone basehit the team recorded in its six at bats off of Simon Gross.
Storks got its next runner in scoring position in the top of the sixth.
Joran Berkhout led off with a walk.
With one out, Ibrahin Redan reached on an error, which gave the team runners on first and third base.
With that, the team had a chance to come alongside, but the at bat then ended when both runners were caught stealing with next batter Kevin van Veen in the batter's box.
On an 0-1 pitch, a called strike, Redan took off from first base in a double-steal situation, as Berkhout ran towards the plate.
However, Berkhout ended in a rundown and was eliminated.
In this situation, Redan advanced to third base.
The next pitch by Simon Gross was outside the strike-zone and this time, Redan was caught stealing, as he was tagged out by catcher Jason Halman.
With that, the inning ended and Twins still led only 1-0.
In the bottom of the sixth, Twins rallied for six runs to break open the game and take a commanding 7-0 lead.
Jerzy van Gool led off with a single and advanced to third base on an one-out single by Tyriq Kemp, who later stole second base.
Moments later, both scored on a single by Jarreau Martina.
Shurman Marlin then also singled, which led to a pitching change.
Gedryon Basilia took over from Nelmerson Angela, but his first delivery to Ruendrick Piternella was drilled into deep leftfield for a 3-run homerun.
Hereafter, Jason Halman walked and scored the next run on a 2-out triple by Diamond Silberie.
In the top of the seventh inning, off of new pitcher Shunta Oba, Storks scored what would be its lone run in today's game.
The Japanese righthander gave up a lead-off triple to Kevin van Veen, who then scored when Brandon Sint Jago followed with a runscoring single.
Sint Jago moved to second base on a grounder by Kelvin Knape, but then was eliminated at third base in a reversed double play when he tried to advance on a grounder by Roy Winkel.
In the bottom of the seventh, Twins Oosterhout added another run when rookie Luuk Bun led off with a homerun.
Bun had just entered the game in the top of the seventh as the new second baseman.
For Bun, this was the fifth game he played in this season.
He made his big league-debut on May 23, 2019, but then played only two innings in defense as second base in his lone game.
Bun didn't play for the main-squad last season and in his previous four games this year, he was 0-for-9 and had reached base twice.
A week ago, he reached on a fielder's choice.
In Saturday's game, he was hit by a pitch.
Today, he homered in his lone at bat.
With that, Luuk Bun joint a small group of players whose first basehit in the highest league was a homerun.
Now trailing 8-1, Storks left a runner behind on first base in the eighth inning.
In the ninth at bat, the team got one more runner in scoring position off of closer Raf Cocu.
With two outs, he walked Brandon Sint Jago and Kelvin Knape.
The game ended when the latter was forced out on a grounder by Roy Winkel.
