After being retired in order in the top of the first inning, RCH-Pinguïns scored three runs with two outs in the second off of starter Nick Boxelaar.
With one out, the righthander walked Denzel Brooks, then gave up a single to Luis Gonzalez Garay.
With runners at the corners, the latter was forced out on a grounder by Jaison Gijsbertha.
On this grounder, Brooks scored the first run.
Geoffrey Verhoef then singled and Tijani Dunlop followed with a runscoring single.
Moments later, Verhoef scored the third run in the at bat on a single by Raul Jacobs.
DSS/Kinheim got one run back in its second at bat off of starter Juan Carlos Sulbaran.
The righthander gave up a lead-off double to Sem Kuijper, who then advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a following grounder by his brother Donny Kuijper.
Three scoreless innings followed.
RCH-Pinguïns was retired in order twice and got two baserunners in the fourth, one of whom stranded on first base.
DSS/Kinheim was retired in order in all these at bats by Sulbaran, who struckout five batters in this span.
RCH-Pinguïns then added an unearned run in the top of the sixth.
Lead-off hitter Aldrich Guzman reached on an error, then Denzel Brooks singled.
Guzman, who had moved to third base, scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Gonzalez Garay.
Juan Carlos Sulbaran also retired the side in the bottom of the sixth.
With that, the righthander had retired the last 13 batters he faced since the second inning.
In the bottom of the seventh, with RCH leading 4-1, Mike van den Berg took over the pitching from Sulbaran.
He gave up two runs, which narrowed DSS/Kinheim's deficit to only 4-3.
Van den Berg gave up a lead-off infield-hit to Urving Kemp, then hit Sem Kuijper with a pitch.
Donny Kuijper followed with a single that brought in Kemp.
After arriving at first base, Donny Kuijper was replaced by pinch-runner Thomas Bos, who played in his first game of the season.
Moments later, Sem Kuijper was forced out at third base on a comeback-grounder by Mees Robberse.
With two outs, Jesse van den Berg hit the ball into leftfield for his first big league-basehit.
Bos scored on the single, while Robberse and Van den Berg ended up on third and second base.
Van den Berg's single on his namesake led to a pitching change.
Chris Koeiman took over and got an inning-ending flyout.
RCH-Pinguïns immediately scored some insurance runs in the following at bats off of closer Robyn Clara, who took over the pitching in the eighth.
