HCAW led 3-0 when it rallied for four runs in the sixth inning to take a decisive lead.
Furthermore, the team recorded another shutout and its pitching came close to another No-Hitter.
However, HCAW also left sixteen runners behind on the bases!
On a chilly evening, HCAW opened the score in the top of the first inning off of starter T'sean Martina.
With one out, Victor Draijer singled and Jeandro Tromp walked, then Shurman Marlin followed with a runscoring single.
With two outs, HCAW got the bases loaded when Jair van Borkulo walked, but the three runners were left behind, as a pop-fly ended the at bat.
HCAW doubled its lead in the top of the second.
With two outs, Delano Selassa reached on an error and stole second base, then scored on a single by next batter Victor Draijer.
Hereafter, Jeandro Tromp walked, but this time, two runners were left behind.
In the third at bat, HCAW got its first two batters on base when both Kevin Dirksen and Jair van Borkulo singled.
They also stranded, as the next three batters were retired.
After HCAW was retired in order in the fourth, another run was added in the fifth, again with two outs.
Shurman Marlin led off with a single, but with one out, he was forced out on a grounder by Jair van Borkulo.
The latter then stole second base and scored on a double by Max Draijer.
HCAW staged a 4-run rally in the sixth.
Julian Goins and Delano Selassa opened with singles.
Both scored when next batter Victor Draijer made good contact and hit his second homerun of the season.
That also led to a pitching change.
Mike van den Berg took over, but he walked Jeandro Tromp and gave up a single to Shurman Marlin, which led to runners on first and third base.
Moments later, Tromp scored on a wild pitch.
That moved Marlin to second base and he advanced to third on another wild pitch with two outs.
HCAW then got the bases loaded when Van den Berg walked both Jair van Borkulo and Max Draijer.
But the righthander then struckout Bob van der Meer and Julian Goins to end the inning.
HCAW scored its final two runs in the top of the ninth off of new pitcher Koen Werkman, who made his first pitching-appearance of the season.
He was greeted with a lead-off single by Delano Selassa, then hit next batter Victor Draijer with a pitch and gave up a runscoring single to Jeandro Tromp, who reached base for the fifth time.
With two outs, Werkman hit another batter with a pitch, this time Jair van Borkulo, which loaded the bases.
With that Van Borkulo reached base for the sixth time in this game.
With three runners on base, Max Draijer delivered an RBI-single.
On this hit, Victor Draijer crossed home plate and Tromp also tried to score.
However, he was eliminated at the plate, which ended the at bat.
RCH-Pinguïns got only two runners in scoring position and came closest to a run in the ninth inning.
HCAW-starter Lars Huijer got only three baserunners, but also gave up the lone Heemstede-basehit.
The righthander retired the first nine batters he faced.
In the bottom of the fourth, with HCAW leading only 2-0, RCH's lead-off hitter Koen Werkman hit Huijer's fourth delivery back to the pitcher.
Huijer reached, touched the ball with his glove and it changed course to short stop Bob van der Meer for an infield-hit.
It probably would have been a basehit anyway, as the ball would have gone through the middle of the infield when Huijer would not have touched the ball.
Anyway, this would be the lone basehit for RCH-Pinguïns.
Werkman moved to second base via a sacrifice bunt by Tijani Dunlop, but would be left behind there.
Huijer walked lead-off hitter Aldrich Guzman in the fifth, but he would be forced out later in the at bat.
Huijer then retired the side in the sixth and seventh inning.
In his seven innings on the mound, he struckout eight batters.
Sedley Karel pitched the eighth inning for HCAW and encountered no problems.
With HCAW leading 9-0, Nick Keur closed the game by throwing the ninth inning.
The righthander saw RCH-Pinguïns get its lone runner on third base.
Koen Werkman and Tijani Dunlop began with walks.
The latter was then forced out on a grounder by Jesse Aussems, which moved Werkman to third base.
But he stranded there, as next batter Jeldwin Orman grounded into a game-ending double play.
