HCAW took a comfortable 5-0 lead in the third inning, but thereafter, not only the scoring stopped, opponent RCH-Pinguïns came back.
HCAW added only one more run, while the home-team narrowed the deficit to 6-4, but that also was the final score.
HCAW was retired in order in the first two innings by Australian Jeremy Young.
But the righthander then gave up five runs in the third at bat.
Only one run was earned, as two errors led to the other four runs.
Max Draijer led off with a single, moved into scoring position via a sacrifice bunt by Bob van der Meer, then scored on a double by Julian Goins.
The latter then advanced to third base when Delano Selassa reached on an error.
With runners at the corners, the second out was recorded on a pop-fly by Victor Draijer.
With Jeandro Tromp in the batter's box, Selassa came in a rundown after a pick-off at first base by pitcher Jeremy Young.
When Selassa approached second base, Goins was off third base and first baseman Luis Gonzalez Garay then threw the ball to third baseman Denzel Brooks.
However, that ended in a throwing error, Goins scored and Selassa ended up on second base.
Thereafter, Selassa scored the next run when Tromp connected for a double.
Next batter Kevin Dirksen then walked and Jair van Borkulo delivered a 2-run double, which lifted the lead to 5-0.
By the way, Max Draijer and Victor Draijer are members of the wellknown Draijer-family, which is a very familiar name at RCH, the club with whom the family has a long connection.
Other members include Wim Draijer, Paul Draijer, Dave Draijer and Remco Draijer, who all played for the main-team of the Heemstede-club.
Dave and and Remco are still active in a lower team of the club and are eligible to play in the main-team when needed.

Thereafter, Quintin de Cuba and Max Draijer singled, but the first was forced out at third base on a grounder by Bob van der Meer.
Dennis Burgersdijk was the starter for HCAW.
He saw RCH-Pinguïns get several runners in scoring position, but gave up only one run in the six innings that he was on the mound.
It was RCH-Pinguïns that got a chance to open the score in both the first and second inning.
In the bottom of the first inning, Burgersdijk walked lead-off hitter Koen Werkman, but two outs followed.
With Werkman at second base, Burgersdijk hit Denzel Brooks with a pitch.
A double-steal led to runners at second and third base, but Burgersdijk then closed by striking out Luis Gonzalez Garay.
With one out in the bottom of the second, RCH got the bases loaded when Sebastiaan van der Horst, Jaison Gijsbertha and Raul Jacobs all singled.
This time, Burgersdijk struckout Koen Werkman and Tijani Dunlop grounded out, meaning the three runners were left behind.
After being supported with a 5-0 lead, Burgersdijk retired the side in the third and fourth inning, then gave up a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Raul Jacobs led off with a single, stole second base, advanced on a grounder by Koen Werkman and scored on a grounder by Tijani Dunlop.
With two outs, Thomas Kwakernaak and Denzel Brooks both singled.
Again, Burgersdijk closed with a crucial strikeout.
He then retired the side again in the sixth in which he added his seventh strikeout.
HCAW added another run in the top of the seventh.
With one out, Delano Selassa reached on a single and advanced on a wild pitch.
With two outs, he scored on a double by Jeandro Tromp.
With a 6-1 lead, Ruben Dekker took over the pitching for HCAW.
But he ran into problems and gave up three runs with two outs.
Raul Jacobs led off with his third basehit in the game, then stole second base (again).
He moved to third base when Koen Werkman flied out and scored on a grounder by Tijani Dunlop.
With two outs, Thomas Kwakernaak walked and Denzel Brooks singled.
They respectively scored on a singles by Luis Gonzalez Garay and Aldrich Guzman.
With that, RCH-Pinguïns narrowed the deficit to only 6-4 and still had two baserunners.
A pitching change followed.
Sedley Karel took over and he got an inning-ending grounder from Sebastiaan van der Horst.
Jan-Willem Geerts took over the RCH-pitching in the eighth inning.
He retired the side, then got only one more runner in the ninth.
RCH was unable to turn the game around in its final two at bats.
Sedley Karel retired the side (two strikeouts) in the eighth, then closer Nick Keur did the same in the ninth.
He ended the game with a strikeout and earned his second save of the season.
