European Super Cup in Italy

In its latest update, the European Softball Federation has named the host for next years European Super Cup Men-tournament.
At the moment, Pianoro is listed as the playing site for the second edition of the European Super Cup, which will take place August 26-31.
The small city Pianoro is situated south of Bologna in Italy and is the home of Pianoro Softball Club and the women-team of Blue Girls, which plays in the Italian Softball League.
Final approval of the playing site will come during the Congress of the ESF next February in Slovenia.
This year, Hurricanes from Denmark won the first European Super Cup, beating Lupi Roma (Italy) 7-2 in the final.
Dutch clubs Spikes and Storks respectively finished in third and fourth place, after being beaten by Hurricanes 9-0 and 8-0 respectively.
2011 Dutch champion DVH finished in seventh place.
Sixteen teams participated in the event, which was held in Prague.
Next year, the European Men Softball Championship will be held in the Czech Republic at the familiar site in Havlíčkův Brod.
Final approval of this location also has to come during the Congress.
