 Spikes International Pre-Season Easter Tournament gets shape

In the off-season, all softball- and baseball-clubs are of course preparing for the new season.
For some clubs, that includes making preparations for the organization of (international) tournaments that are scheduled before the start of the new season.
One of those clubs is Spikes, which plans to organize an International Men Softball Tournament at its home site in March during Easter.
The Pre-Season Easter Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27.
In the event, eight teams will participate, who will play 20 games in two days at two fields.
The field of participants now include Gladsaxe Softball Club (Denmark), two teams of Žraloci Ledenice (Czech Republic), the Netherlands National B-Team, Dutch vice-champion BioSilk Quick Amersfoort, Adegeest (Netherlands) and host Spikes, who all have confirmed they will be in Spijkenisse.
An eighth team will be announced later.
With this line-up, an attractive tournament is guaranteed and fans will see some very interesting men softball games.
Gladsaxe is one of the biggest and successful softball-clubs in Denmark, playing in the highest division, while Ledenice is one of the leading teams in the ExtraLiga, the highest league in the Czech Republic.
On Saturday, all teams of hosting club Spikes will have their teamphotos made, to be followed in the evening by the annual Start of the Season Party.
After conclusion of the international tournament on Sunday, there will be another recreational tournament on Monday, which also includes a search for Easter-eggs for children.
For years now, Spikes is one of the leading clubs in men softball, playing at the highest level in the Netherlands.
Besides that, Spikes has participated in several European Cup Tournaments through the years and has (had) players on its roster who have played in the Netherlands National Men Softball Team, as well as the Belgian National Team.
