 Nomination for Tex Town Tigers

The womenteam of Tex Town Tigers is nomninated for the award for Sports Team of the Year in the Province of Overijssel.
In August, Tex Town Tigers captured the European Cup for the second year in a row, winning the final vs. favorite (and reigning Dutch champion) Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem in Caserta (Italy).
Last year, Tex Town Tigers won the Cup when the event was held in Haarlem (Netherlands).
It marks the fourth time in a row that Tex Town Tigers is nominated for this award.
However, the softball-team never won, as the award went to the soccerteam of FC Twente each time.
Also nominated for the award are Mizuwaai Women Dalfsen (handball) and FC Twente Women (soccer).
Also to be hand out are awards for Male and Female Athlete of the Year, Talent of the Year and an (press)award for a sportive accomplishment with a promotional value for the Province of Overijssel.
The Overijsselse Sportverkiezing (Overijssel Sports Voting) is organized annually by regional radio and TV-station RTV Oost and regional newspapers TC Tubantia and De Stentor, who also make the list of the nominees.
The public can now vote for the winners.
This voting can be done via the website of RTV Oost.
The winners of the awards will be announced on Sunday, January 8 during the Gala, which is held at the Studio of RTV Oost in Hengelo.
