On photos published by the fire department, a big fire can be seen on the top floor of the clubhouse, which houses the canteen of the club, which also has baseball and soccer.
Initially, it was said and published, that the clubhouse suffered major damage.
But today, a day later, Olympia Haarlem announced that luckily there wasn't that much damage other than damage by smoke and water, as the fire didn't enter the clubhouse inside.
Also, nine dressing rooms were saved.
How the fire got started wasn't disclosed yet.
The board of Olympia Haarlem underscored on its website that all scheduled activities are going on in the upcoming days.
As of now, the former clubhouse of the club has been re-opened for the coming days.
