Game 1

Centrals won the opener in six innings via the mercy-rule. Sara Moulton went the distance for the team from De Bilt. The American righthander struckout six batters and gave up only two basehits en route to her fourth victory of the season.

Almere '90 reached second base only twice and both times that happened in the opening at bat. The latter then stole second base, becoming the second and last Almere-player to reach second base.

Centrals scored its first run in the second inning. Stephanie Pearce led off with a single, advanced on an outfield-error, then moved on a bunt-single by Laura Bakker. The bases got loaded when Sara Rosenbarker walked. Emma Bosman followed a runscoring single, but a double play and strikeout prevented more runs.

But Centrals then rallied for three runs in the third at bat. With one out, Franka van Dijk and Petya Sokolová singled. Both scored when an error was committed on a grounder by Stephanie Pearce, who then went on to score herself on a single by Laura Bakker.

Centrals was held scoreless in the next two innings, but then again scored three runs in the sixth to reach the 7-run difference. Emma Bosman and Vivienne Schenk began with singles, which led to a pitching change. New pitcher Maxime Scheffer got two quick outs, but then got the bases loaded when pinch-hitter Simone Meerkerk walked. A passed ball then brought in a run and an outfield-error on a fly by Petya Sokolová accounted for the next two runs to make it a 7-0 score.
