Game 1

The first game was scoreless after three innings, then Olympia Haarlem led only 2-1 in the fifth inning, but then rallied for six runs to end the game through the mercy-rule.

Olympia-pitcher Eva Voortman held Alcmaria hitless in the first four innings and allowed only one batter to reach base. She retired the first six batters in a row (five strikeouts, last four in a row), then hit lead-off batter Quita Borst with a pitch in the third inning, but she was forced out.

For Alcmaria, Katherina Chavarria gave up a lead-off single to Eva Voortman in the first inning, but then retired nine batters in a row.

Olympia opened the score with two runs with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Merel Oosterveld led off with a single and advanced on a grounder by Dinet Oosting. With two outs, Stephanie Ruiter and Rachel van Veen hit back-to-back triples to give Olympia a 2-0 lead.

Alcmaria got one run back in the fifth. Katy Moore, who played in her first game of the season, led off with a single to break Voortman's No-Hitter. She then advanced when Shantae Duren doubled, but was eliminated at home trying to score on a grounder by Quita Borst. Next, Nienke Verhofstad singled to bring in Duren, but then two outs followed.

In the bottom of the fifth, Olympia staged a 6-run rally on only two hits, as the Alcmaria-defense committed three errors, resulting in all runs being unearned. Five of the runs were scored with two outs. Lead-off hitter Desiree Adriaansz reached third base on a throwing error, then scored on an one-out single by Eva Voortman. Hereafter, Merel Oosterveld walked, but then Voortman was forced out at third base on a grounder by Dinet Oosting. Two runs were then scored when a fly by Mariëlle Vleugels was missed in the outfield. After Stephanie Ruiter walked, Rachel van Veen singled in the next run. That led to a pitching change, as Nikita Bing took over. She faced only one batter and made a throwing error on a comeback-grounder by Maranca Ham, which led to the next two runs and that also ended the game, as the 7-run difference had been reached.
