Game 1
In the opener, Sparks Haarlem threatened to open the score in both the first and second inning, but the Terrasvogels-defense prevented that.
In the first inning, Anne Blaauwgeers singled and Areke Spel walked with one out, then both got into scoring position after a flyout, but stranded.
In the second, Nathalie Gosewehr led off with a walk and stole second base, then moved on a single by Manoa Weijgertse, who herself ended up on second base.
But hereafter, three outs followed.
But in the third inning, Sparks Haarlem opened the score with two runs off of starter Makou van Dusschoten.
With one out, Areke Spel reached on a bunt-single and stole second base, then scored when Karin Tuk followed with a double.
This brought in new pitcher Ginger de Weert, who saw Tuk advance to third base on foul-out by Virginie Anneveld.
The latter then became the temporary runner for Tuk and went on to score on a single by Nathalie Gosewehr.
The home team took more distance with a 4-run rally in the fourth inning.
Damishah Charles led off with a single and Chantal Versluis doubled.
Hereafter, Anne Blaauwgeers singled in a run and that also brought the third pitcher for Terrasvogels into the circle, Anna-Bč Bartels.
She gave up a 2-run double to Areke Spel, then followed with a strikeout.
Next, a double by Virginie Anneveld lifted the lead to 6-0.
Terrasvogels collected only four hits off of veteran Rebecca Soumeru.
The team reached base in all innings, but was unable to score, as only one runner reached third base.
In the fifth inning, Alyssa Taylor doubled with one out, then moved on a grounder by Jessica Waasdorp, but was left behind.
In the sixth, Kimberly Jones reached on an error and advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Ella Krommendijk to become the second and last Terrasvogels-player to reach second base in this game.
She stranded, as line drives by next hitters Jessie van Aalst and Marisčla de Wind were respectively caught by leftfielder Nathalie Gosewehr and pitcher Rebecca Soumeru.

Game 2
The second game was decided in the second inning with one mighty blow.
In that at bat, Sparks Haarlem scored all seven runs and the rally was highlighted and ended with a grand slam homerun by Karin Tuk.
And so, Sparks Haarlem needed only one inning to win this game, but was unable to end it via the mercy-rule, as Terrasvogels scored twice in the third inning and held its rival scoreless in the remainder of the game.
Six basehits were hit in the second inning, the first by Virginie Anneveld, who led off with a single.
Nathalie Gosewehr followed with another single.
With runners on second and third base and one out, Kiki Draaijer hit a runscoring single, then Cindy van der Zanden followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.
With two outs, Sparks Haarlem added five more runs.
After Draaijer had stole second base, Damishah Charles and Anne Blaauwgeers singled, with the last accounting for a run.
Hereafter, the bases got loaded when Areke Spel walked.
Terrasvogels Head Coach Rob Walgien then had a talk with Alyssa Taylor, but when the game resumed, powerhitter Karin Tuk connected well on the fourth delivery and hit the ball over the fence in left-centerfield for a towering grand slam homerun, lifting the lead to 7-0.
In the remainder of the game, Sparks Haarlem was silenced by relievers Malou van Dusschoten and Ginger de Weert, adding only two more hits and was held scoreless.
Terrasvogels scored its two runs in the third inning.
Anna-Bč Bartels led off with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Ella Krommendijk.
With two outs, Jessie van Aalst reached on an error, then Marisčla de Wind followed with a 2-run double.
But that was it for Terrasvogels, as the team reached base only two more times in the remainder in the game.
