All three games of the tournament ended in big scores.
In the opener, Onze Gezellen won 10-1 vs. Quick/Red Caps, which then won 7-1 against Pirates, which then closed with an 8-1 victory vs. Onze Gezellen.
And so, all teams had won one game.
The run-difference then decided the ranking.
Thanks to the 10 runs scored is their first game, this resulted in a first place for Onze Gezellen (11 runs scored, 9 given up), followed by Amsterdam Pirates (9-8) and host Quick/Red Caps (8-11).
There also was a men softball triple-header during this event.
In the opener, Quick Amersfoort 1 won 10-1 against Quick Amersfoort 2.
In the second game, Quick 2 played an 1-1 tie against Adegeest, which was then beaten 7-1 by Quick 1.
Quick Amersfoort will organize the event again next year and then also plans to include a baseball-tournament.
The tournament is named after the nickname of the city of Amersfoort, 'Keistad'.
That refers to 'De Amersfoortse Kei' (The Amersfoort Rock), which is a big glacial erratic, situated in the city.
Legend has it that there has been a mentioning of a huge rock in 1544 on the road from Amersfoort to Utrecht.
The story continues that Jonkheer (which can be translated as 'young lord') Everard Meyster (1617-1679) closed a bet with some friends that he could challenge inhabitants of Amersfoort to pull the rock to the city.
And so, some 400 inhabitants pulled to rock to the city's center.
Initially, they were embarrassed when they realized they did something which was useless and so, they engraved the rock in 1672.
The rock was then digged up again in 1903 and put on display.
For all three teams, today's event was the final preparation for the upcoming season, which opens next Saturday, April 11.
Amsterdam Pirates opens in the Silver League at home with a double-header against Zwijndrecht, starting at 3 PM.
Onze Gezellen opens its Silver League-season also at home in Haarlem with a double-header vs. Almere '90, starting at 4 PM.
