Game 1
In the first game, Terrasvogels-pitchers Ginger de Weert (3 innings) and Anna-Bè Bartels (1 inning) gave up no hits to the Alkmaar-squad.
The duo barely missed a Perfect Game, as only one player from Alcmaria Victrix reached base.
That happened to be the first batter of the game.
Katie Moore led off the first inning for the home team, was hit by a pitch and stole second base.
But the next 12 batters were retired in order in this mercy-rule game.
Terrasvogels scored three runs in its first at bat.
Kimberly Jones led off with a single, moved on a sac-bunt by Ella Krommendijk and stole third base.
With two outs, Marisèla de Wind walked, then both runners scored on a following triple by Lizzie Clarijs, who scored herself on a wild pitch.
A 6-run rally followed in the second inning.
Jessica Waasdorp led off with a single and scored when Jeske Meewisse followed with a double.
The latter advanced on a wild pitch and was awarded home plate on an illegal pitch.
Later in the at bat, an error, 2-run single by Lizzie Clarijs and sac-fly by Alyssa Taylor lifted the lead to 9-0.
Two runs were added in the fourth at bat.
Marisèla de Wind led off with a single, then Lizzie Clarijs was hit by a pitch.
A single by Alyssa Taylor and grounder by Jeske Meewisse then accounted for the runs.
Lizzie Clarijs was 2-for-2 with a triple, scored twice and had four runs batted in.
