 TeamKPN Sportfonds supports Netherlands Softball Team

TEAMKPN Sportfonds has chosen the Netherlands National Women Softball Team to support the squad in 2016 en route to top accomplishments.
This was announced on Wednesday (December 16) by TEAMKPN Sportfonds, which also will support the National Men Curling Team.
Besides the addition of these two teams, TEAMKPN Sportfonds also will continue its support of the Netherlands Men Water Polo Team during its preparations towards the European Championship next year in Belgrade (Serbia), as well as the Netherlands Men Basketball Team.
On its website, Mark Versteegen, director sponsoring at KPN, states the TEAMKPN Sportfonds has chosen for the Softball Team, because ''the Netherlands Team has qualified for the World Championship of 2016, which will be held in Canada.
In 2012 and 2014, the Orange squad finished in sixth place on the World Championship.
Besides that, the team captured three European titles in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
More than enough reasons for the TEAMKPN Sportfonds to support the softball-team on its way to international top accomplisments.''
In a reaction to this news, Gijs Selderijk, Technical Director of the Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) said that he was delighted with this support.
,,As Association, we're very glad with the cooperation with TEAMKPN Sportfonds.
With the addition of this financial support, we are able to organize a top-level worthy program for the national softball-team in 2016 with the goal being a high result during the World Championship Softball at Surrey, Canada.''
The TEAMKPN Sportfonds was founded early 2015 KPN with the mission to support topsport-teams, which are not part of the core-sports-policy of the NOC*NSF, support temporarily en route to striking and unique top-accomplishments.
The Sportfonds invest 200.000 Euro annually in projects.
In the future, the foundation looks to join forces with several major businesses in the Netherlands in order to support even more sports.
