In the second game, Twins trailed 3-2 after four innings, then took a 4-3 lead, but faced a 5-4 deficit when the seventh inning began.
Twins then came alongside to force extra innings and went on to win 6-5 in eight innings.
Twins opened with two runs in the first at bat off of Emma Holden, who gave up five unearned runs in this game.
With one out in the first, Manon van Alebeek singled, then Lieke Duffhues walked.
A following grounder by Sandy Lauwers ended in two errors, a run, an out at the plate and a runner on third base.
Next, Kelly De Lannoy walked.
When the latter stole second base, Lauwers went on to score the second run.
Gryphons got one run back in the second inning.
Charlotte Drijvers led off with a single, moved on two grounders, then scored on a double by Carlinde Altorf, who herself was eliminated at third trying to stretch her hit into a triple.
In the third, Gryphons scored twice to take a 3-2 lead.
With one out, Kehli Washington tripled, then scored the tying run on a single by Judith van Ekeren.
Maureen van Poorten then walked and a pitching change followed.
After an infield-fly, the bases got loaded when Charlotte Drijvers walked, then a passed ball gave Gryphons a 3-2 lead, but two runners were left behind in scoring position.
Twins had left two runners in both the third and fourth inning, but then scored twice in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead.
Manon van Alebeek reached on an error, moved on a sac-bunt by Lieke Duffhues and a single by Sandy Lauwers, then scored the tying run on a wild pitch.
Moments later, Kelly De Lannoy walked and Lauwers scored the go-ahead run on a 2-out single by Michelle Edgtton.
A walk for Shauni Thys loaded the bases, but the three runners stranded as Emma Holden closed the at bat with a strikeout.
Now trailing 4-3, it was Gryphons that scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead again.
Kehli Washington led off with a bunt-single and went on to score the tying run (again) on an one-out single by Maureen van Poorten.
With two outs, the latter scored on a single by Manya Krijgsman to give Gryphons a 5-4 lead.
From the fifth inning on, Emma Holden retired six batters in a row (including four strikeouts) and was one out away from the win in the top of the seventh inning.
She then gave up an infield-hit to Minke Blok, followed by a triple by Michelle Edgtton that made it a 5-5 score.
As Gryphons was held scoreless in the bottom of the seventh, the game went into extra innings.
In the first tie-break inning, pinch-runner Noor Godefroy advanced to third base on a sac-bunt by Tammie Lijbers.
She then scored on a grounder by Femke Duffhues to give Twins a 6-5 lead.
In the bottom of the eighth, tie-break runner Maureen van Poorten advanced on a grounder, then was eliminated on a grounder by Charlotte Drijvers.
The latter moved to second base on the play, then Manya Krijgsman was walked intentionally.
Julia van Oosterwijck's grounder then ended in an error, but also in the third out, ending this suspenseful game.
