 Battle at the Castle Softball Winter Edition in Alkmaar

Next week, the first Winter softball-edition of the Battle at the Castle takes place at the Sportpaleis in Alkmaar.
In 2014 and 2015, two successful Summer editions were organized at the site of Twins in Oosterhout.
The third Summer-edition will be held July 23-26 next year in Oosterhout.
In the same period, July 24-29, the fourth edition of the baseball-tournament of the Battle at the Castle will take place at the site of Twins.
The Winter-event will be held December 22 and 23 with the participation of four teams.
In its introduction of the event, the organisation announced that the Admirals, Falcons, Cavaliers and Bombers will complete for the fun and for the honor.

Recently, the coaches were announced for these four teams, which are compiled from Dutch softball-players, who were able to register for participation in the recent weeks.
The Admirals will be coached by Ilja Hardewijn, Wessel Brocken and Sophie Hadrouk.
The Bombers will be coached by Rob Hendriks, Anouk van den Heuvel and Brenda Beers.
The Cavaliers will be coached by Kate Gentile, Kimberly Jones and a to be named third coach.
The Falcons will be coached by Gonny Farley, Carola Untied and Annemiek de Rover.
Brenda Beers (FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem), Kimberly Jones (Terrasvogels) and Annemiek de Rover all play in the Golden League.
Brenda Beers last weekend won the Bep van Beijmerwerdt Trophy for most talented youth-player.
She and Kimberly Jones have played in the Dutch Junior Team in recent years.
Both also have played in the big league for Alcmaria Victrix.
Rob Hendriks recently was named Head Coach of Gryphons (Silver League).
Hendriks has played baseball himself in the Dutch big league for Sparta and has been a member of the Netherlands National Team.
Anouk van den Heuvel played in the Dutch big league for Euro Stars and Terrasvogels, while Kate Gentile has played in the highest league for Terrasvogels and played several seasons in the Italian big league, as well as in the Italian National Team.
Recently, she was named Assistant Coach of FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem.
Both won the Dutch championship-title, as well as the European Cup with Terrasvogels, while Anouk van den Heuvel also has played in the Netherlands National Team in the past.
Gonny Farley has been the Head Coach several years of Alcmaria Victrix, with whom she won the Dutch championship-title.
Besides that, she has played herself in the big league for Terrasvogels and HCAW and has been the Head Coach of the Netherlands National Team for three years.
Carola Untied was the Assistant Coach of Farley during her years at Alcmaria Victrix, with whom she played herself in the big league in the nineties.
