Game 1
DSS opened the score in the first game with two runs in the first at bat.
With one out, Judith van Tiel walked, then scored when Morgan Sampson followed with a double.
The latter then advanced on a grounder and scored the second run on a single by Annemiek de Rover.
After being retired in order in the second inning, DSS added a run in the third.
With one out, Judith van Tiel tripled, then scored on a 2-out single by Denice van Dijk.
Alcmaria-pitcher Katherine Chavarria then held DSS scoreless again in the next two innings, meaning the Haarlem-team led only 3-0 when the sixth inning began.
DSS then took more distance by adding two insurance runs in the sixth.
Lead-off hitter Denice van Dijk's grounder ended in a throwing error, which enabled her to reach third base.
She then scored when Annemiek de Rover followed with a single.
With two outs, her pinch-runner Madelon Paauwe scored the next run on a single by Lorraine Kieft.
That the two runs were much needed was underscored in the bottom of the sixth when Alcmaria scored twice with two outs.
With one out, Robin van Beijsterveld singled and was replaced by pinch-runner Lisanne Spoor.
Next, Lisette Untied walked, then Spoor was forced out on a grounder by Alyssa Dronenburg, who had started the season in the Silver League playing for Ban-Topa Future Stars.
Hereafter, Quita Borst doubled to bring in two runs and narrow the deficit to 5-2.
DSS added another run in the seventh when Melissa de Greef doubled with one out and scored on a 2-out double by Morgan Sampson.

DSS took an 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Former Alcmaria-player Melissa de Greef then reached on an error and moved on an one-out double by Morgan Sampson, then scored on a grounder by Denice van Dijk, which ended in a double play.
On this grounder, Sampson was eliminated at third base, while De Greef scored, then Van Dijk became the second out in the double play after having reached first base on a fielder's choice.
Alcmaria stranded two runners in its first at bat, but then came alongside in the second inning.
With one out, Arwen Ravenhorst singled, then reached third base when Nikita Bing reached on an error.
Moments later, she scored the tying run on a wild pitch.
Katherine Chavarria, who also started the first game for Alcmaria, then retired the side in the third inning.
Hereafter, DSS struck with eight runs in the fourth.
Morgan Sampson led off the fourth with a double, then Denice van Dijk singled.
With one out, the two scored on a single by Kelly Koeman.
Eva Halman then reached on an error and a throwing error followed on a force play-grounder by Madelon Paauwe to load the bases.
Melissa de Greef then followed with a 2-run double.
The bases were re-loaded when Judith van Tiel walked and this time, Morgan Sampson cleared the bases with a 3-run triple (after having started the rally with a double).
A double by Denice van Dijk then completed the rally and made it 9-1.
In the fifth inning, there was a special moment for Marijn Crouwel, who turned 14 today and made her big league-debut in Game One.
Now, she entered this game again as a pinch-hitter with one out and singled up the middle for her first big league-basehit.
After a pitching change, she advanced to second base on a grounder and moved to third on a wild pitch.
Moments later, she was eliminated at the plate trying to score on a passed ball.
Alcmaria was unable to add more runs off of Quincey Catsburg, who struckout eight batters and gave up only two hits.
And so, the game ended via the mercy-rule after five innings.
