In the opener, Zwijndrecht struck early and was leading 8-0 after three innings, but the team was unable to finish the game through the mercy-rule.
Trailing 9-0 in the fifth, Onze Gezellen scored three runs to avoid a mercy-rule loss.
Zwijndrecht rallied for four runs in the opening at bat.
Sanne Korpel led off with a walk, advanced on a grounder, then scored when Michelle van Bodegom homered.
Claudia Kranendonk and Chantal Fehling then both also walked, advanced on a wild pitch and then scored on a following sngle by Nadine van der Loos.
Three runs were added with two outs in the second inning.
Denise Theulings led off with a walk, then moved on two grounders and scored on a single by Michelle van Bodegom.
Next batter Claudia Kranendonk then reached on an error and a wild pitch and passed ball accounted for the next two runs.
Zwijndrecht made it 8-0 in the third inning when Laura Zuidam scored on a single by Sanne Korpel.
After being retired in order in the fourth, Zwijndrecht increased the lead to 9-0 in the fifth inning when Themis Claes reached on a bunt-single and scored on an error.
But then, Onze Gezellen scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
With one out, Shannon Hetem tripled, then a grounder followed.
And so, Zwijndrecht was only one out away from ending the game through the mercy-rule.
However, an error on a grounder by Babs de Jonge led to a run, as did a following single by Laura van der Bos.
Onze Gezellen then avoided the mercy-rule loss when Amy Udink followed with an RBI-double to make it 9-3.
The home team scored another run in the sixth when Daniëlle Gardeniers walked and scored on a single by Shannon Hetem.
Now trailing 9-4, Onze Gezellen got the chance to add more runs, as it loaded the bases when Patricia Hesterman walked and, after a pitching change, Babs de Jonge singled.
However, the inning ended when a force out at home and a flyout followed.
