 Rain leads to several cancellations

Heavy rain through the night and in the morning resulted today (Sunday, March 29) in unplayable fields.
It has been very cold on some earlier playing days, but nevertheless the teams were able to play in previous weeks.
But today, the rain made playing impossible and so, seven of the eight big league-teams saw their scheduled games being cancelled.
The lone big league-team that played today was vice-champion L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
In Germany, the Amsterdam-squad completed its 3-game series against Buchbinder Legionäre Regensburg with a 3-2 victory in a 7-inning game before flying home in the evening.

Around 10 AM this morning, it was decided to cancel all three scheduled games of Day 2 of the annual MJFP Jan van de Vegte Memorial Tournament in Nijmegen.
And so, Vaessen Pioniers, HCAW, Belgian squad Brasschaat Braves and host De Hazenkamp didn't get into action.
A tournament-winner was not announced.
In Haarlem, the 4-team Haarlem Series, the first game on Day 2 was started, despite sometimes heavy rain.
But game, for 3rd and 4th place between Onze Gezellen and RCH-Pinguïns, was halted shortly thereafter.
It was then decided to also cancel the final.
DSS, which will make its debut in the big league this season, was one of the finalists.
It had to play against Sparks Haarlem.
In Rotterdam, the second match-up between reigning champion Curaçao Neptunus and German champion Solingen Alligators was also scrubbed.
In Vleuten, UVV and Corendon Kinheim also saw their second confrontation being cancelled.
The first game on Saturday in Haarlem was also cancelled due to an unplayable field.
In Dordrecht, the game between Mampaey The Hawks and Twins also was not played.
It is tried to re-schedule this game for Tuesday-evening, but that is not yet confirmed.
Coming Easter Weekend, L&D Amsterdam Pirates, Corendon Kinheim and Vaessen Pioniers will participated in the annual In Memoriam Charles Urbanus, Sr. Tournament, starting on Friday-evening, together with organisor HCAW in Bussum.
DSS is one of the participating teams in the annual J.C.J. Mastenbroek Tournament, hosted by Tex Town Tigers in Enschede.
Mampaey The Hawks will participate in the Ringvaart Tournament, which is organized by RCH-Pinguïns in Heemstede.
Curaçao Neptunus and UVV will meet each other on Saturday and Sunday.
