HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Belinda White, catcher of the National Team of Australia, will play in the Dutch Golden League next season for Haarlem-based DSS.
Head Coach Norman Ames confirmed the addition of the Australian catcher on Tuesday (December 22).
With the coming of the Australian catcher, DSS has given itself a nice Christmas-present.
The 27-year old Belinda White is an experienced catcher, who is a member of the Australian National Team since 2011.
She also has represented Australia with the Junior National Team.

,,Besides being a top catcher, Belinda also will work with our two young and talented catchers Marijn Crouwel and Lorraine Kieft'', Head Coach Norman Ames said.
,,Belinda will surely bring them to a higher level.''
With the National Team, Belinda White participated in the World Championship in 2012 (Whitehorse, Canada) and 2014 (Haarlem, Netherlands).
On both events, Australia won the Bonze Medal.
After having played in the Australian National Development Team, Belinda White made her debut in the National Team in 2011 during the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City (USA) and the Canada Cup in Surrey (Canada).
In Australia, she plays for Sturt Falcons in the local competition in the state of South Australia.
With the state-team, she plays in national competitions.
Early next month, she will play for the Australian National Championship-title with the South Australia Starz.
During the transfer-period, which ended on December 1, DSS already added several new players for the new season to become a contender for the Play-Offs and maybe more.
On October 26, DSS saw pitcher Dagmar Bloeming and outfielders Nathalie Gosewehr and Areke Spel come from reigning champion Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem.
Two days later, the club confirmed that former player Dominique Sprengers has returned to DSS, coming from vice-champion FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem.
