In the first inning, Suzanne Poelgeest led off with a single and next batter Britt Remmers walked. The latter was forced out on a grounder by Renee Adriaanse and a strikeout followed, but then the bases got loaded when Kelsy Pieneman walked. However, Euro Stars avoided giving up runs when a strikeout ended the at bat.

In the third inning, Almere was productive again and this time scored three (unearned) runs. Lead-off hitter Maxime Scheffer reached on an error and Merel Boers singled. After the two had advanced on a grounder by Montana Roelvink, the first run was scored when Suzanne Poelgeest singled. The latter was forced out on a grounder by Britt Remmers, but then a double by Renee Adriaanse and single by Shanna te Vrede lifted the lead to 3-0.

Euro Stars, which had left runners on first and third base in both the first and second inning, immediately reacted with four runs of its own in the home half of the third inning, which were all scored with two outs! Kim van der Valk led off with a single and Tanisha van Krevel walked, then moved on a grounder. After a strikeout, the first runner scored on an error, then Manon Hogenes walked. Next, two veteran players contributed to give Euro Stars the lead. First, Kirsten Molle doubled to bring in two more runs and tie the score. Moments later, she scored herself when Davinia de Kwant singled to make it 4-3.

In the top of the fourth inning, Almere got close to score the tying run. With two outs, Shawna van der Schouw reached on an error and moved the third base on a single by Ismay Poot. But a grounder then ended the at bat.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Euro Stars struck with seven runs to lift the lead to 11-3. Five of the runs were scored with two outs. With one out, the home team got the bases loaded when Wendy van der Hoeven walked and both Kimberley van der Lee and Anna Prins singled. Hereafter, Shomayra Franka and Kim van der Valk also singled to bring in two runs. A force out at the plate followed on a grounder by Tanisha van Krevel, but that also kept the bases loaded. The next run was then scored when Merel Cramer walked. After a pitching change, three runs were then added when an error followed on a grounder by Onaisha Franka, who herself ended up on third base. She later scored on a wild pitch to make it 11-3.

In the top of the fifth, Suzanne Poelgeest tripled with two outs, but stranded on third base, which marked the end of the game.
