Singles for Apostel, Albies and Gregorius in Major League Spring Training

On Thursday and Friday (March 4/5), Major League Spring Training with fourteen more exhibition games per day.
On both days, three players with a Dutch passport came into acition.
Sherten Apostel (Texas Rangers), Carter Kieboom (Washington Nationals) and Chadwick Tromp (San Francisco Giants) played on Thursday.
Ozzie Albies (Atlanta Braves), Didi Gregorius (Philadelphia Phillies) and Jurickson Profar (San Diego Padres) played on Friday.
In Surprise, Apostel entered Thursday's game against San Diego Padres in the top of the sixth inning as new first baseman in a 5-3 win.
In his lone at bat, Apostel hit a 2-out single in the bottom of the sixth, but he stranded on first base.
In Port St. Lucie, Kieboom started at third base on Thursday against New York Mets and was 0-for-3 in an 8-4 loss.
He grounded out in the second inning and struckout in the fourth.
In the sixth, Kieboom came to bat with one out and a runner on first base.
His grounder led to a force out and he then was left behind on first base himself.
In the bottom of the sixth, he was replaced.
In Scottsdale, Tromp was inserted as new catcher in the fifth inning on Thursday against Chicago White Sox in a 3-1 win.
In the bottom of the fifth, San Francisco scored its three runs on homeruns by Joe McCarthy and Darin Ruf (2-run).
The inning ended when Tromp grounded out in his lone at bat in this game.
In North Port on Friday, Albies was the starting second baseman in a 4-0 shutout-win against Minnesota Twins.
After he had grounded out in the first inning, Albies led off the fourth inning with a single.
Moments later, he was forced out in a double play.
Albies left the game after four innings.
In Clearwater, Gregorius started as short stop against Pittsburgh Pirates in a game that was won with a 3-0 score.
In the bottom of the first inning, Gregorius singled with one out, then scored when next batter Bryce Harper homered.
Gregorius popped out in the third, then grounded out in the fifth and was replaced in the top of the sixth.
In Peoria, Profar started as leftfielder against San Francisco Giants in a 9-3 win.
In his first at bat in the second inning, Profar walked with one out, but was caught stealing shortly thereafter.
In the fourth inning, Profar walked again and this time, he scored on a double by Trent Grisham.
Profar got his last at bat in the fifth inning with two outs and two runners on base, but he struckout.
Hereafter, he was replaced in the top of the sixth.
