In the eighth inning, Olympia rallied for five runs to decide the attractive and suspenseful game.
In the first inning, Olympia left its first runner on third base.
Lead-off hitter Eva Voortman was hit by a pitch from starter Malou van Dusschoten, then stole second base with one out.
She moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Stephanie Tofft, but then was left behind.
In the second inning, Brenda Beers singled with one out and stole second base, but two outs folowed.
In the third, Merel Oosterveld and Eva Voortman both reached on bunt-singles to start the at bat.
Hereafter, Chiya Louie flied out, but that led to a double play.
Oosterveld tried to advance to third base, but was eliminated there on a nice throw by rightfielder Ella Krommendijk.
Voortman moved to second base on the throw, but stranded.
After being retired in order in the fourth, Olympia got another runner in scoring position in the fifth.
Rachel van Veen led off with a bunt-single, then advanced on an one-out single by Merel Oosterveld.
Hereafter, Ginger de Weert took over the pitching and retired the next two batters.
In the seventh, Olympia got its second runner to reach third base.
Brenda Beers led off with a single, advanced on a grounder by Rachel van Veen and a sacrifice bunt by Maranca Ham, but then was left behind.

Terrasvogels was retired in order by Eva Voortman in the first inning, but then got a runner to reach third base in the second at bat.
Kimberly Jones led off with a single, stole second base and moved on a sacrifice bunt by Lizzie Clarijs.
With two outs, she tried to score on a wild pitch, but was eliminated at the plate.
Terrasvogels then left a runner at first and second base respectively in the fourth and sixth inning.
In the fourth, Jessie van Aalst singled with two outs, but stranded on first base.
Marisčla de Wind singled with two outs in the sixth, stole second base, but also was left behind.
In the bottom of the seventh, Terrasvogels was offered a chance to decide the game.

Hereafter, Olympia Haarlem's Head Coach Stanley Doney decided to walk the next two batters intenionally.
This of course created a force play, but there was also only one out.
Doney's strategy worked out well, as a flyout and strikeout ended the inning and forced the game to go into extra innings.
In the top of the eighth, Olympia Haarlem struck with five runs.
Tie-break runner Merel Oosterveld advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Eva Voortman, then scored the first run on a following single by Chiya Louie.
A single by Stephanie Tofft and double by Mariëlle Vleugels then accounted for the next run and put runners on second and third base.
With two outs, a single by Brenda Beers made it 3-0 and a following outfield-error brought in the fourth run.
Anna-Bč Bartels then took over the pitching, but gave up a runscoring single to Rachel van Veen that made it 5-0.
Terrasvogels could answer with only one run.
Tie-break runner Anna-Bč Bartels advanced on a single by Jessica Waasdorp, then scored on a sacrifice fly by Marisčla de Wind.
Brenda Beers connected for three of Olympia's eleven basehits in this game.
