Terrasvogels was outhit 11-8 by Olympia Haarlem, but struck with a 5-run rally in the fifth innng off of pitcher Eva Voortman. And that was all the team needed.

Terrasvogels trailed 2-0 when it turned the game its way, but already had gotten an opportunity to score earlier.

In the first inning, Marisèla de Wind led off with a double, then advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt by Ella Krommendijk. She could not advance on a following grounder. The inning then ended when the ball hit by Kimberly Jones was caught by short stop Rachel van Veen, while covering 3B Mariëlle Vleugels, who got an assist on the play as the ball went via her glove into Van Veen's.

In the second inning, Terrasvogels got another runner on third base. With two outs, Jessica Waasdorp tripled, but then a strikeout followed.

Olympia Haarlem failed to open the score also and left the bases loaded in the first inning off of starter Malou van Dusschoten. She began with a strikeout, but then walked Dinet Oosting. A force play-attempt on second base on a grounder by Stephanie Tofft was unsuccessful, then the bases got loaded when Mariële Vleugels was hit by a pitch. But hereafter, Van Dusschoten struckout the next two batters to end the inning.

After Olympia was retired in order in the second inning, it opened the score in the third. Eva Voortman led off with a bunt-single, then moved to third base on a sacrifice bunt by Dinet Oosting. A bunt-single by Stephanie Tofft then accounted for the first run. Mariëlle Vleugels followed with a walk, resulting in a pitching change. Ginger de Weert took over and was supported with an inning-ending double play. Chiya Louie flied out to leftfield, then Tofft tried to advance to third base, but was thrown out there by leftfielder Lisa Waasdorp.

Olympia added a run in the fourth. Stephanie Ruiter led off with a single, moved on a sacrifice bunt by Brenda Beers and a grounder by Rachel van Veen, then scored on a single by Merel Oosterveld.

Trailing 2-0, Terrasvogels struck with five runs in the top of the fifth, thanks to four hits and an error. The error led to four unearned runs. Jessica Waasdorp led off with a single, then was safe when an error was made on a force play-grounder by Anna-Bè Bartels. With one out, a runscoring single by Marisèla de Wind followed. The bases were loaded when Ella Krommendijk walked, then a single by Jessie van Aalst tied the score. Hereafter, a force out at home followed, but the go-ahead run was then scored when Eva Voortman walked Lizzie Clarijs. A 2-run single by Lisa Waasdorp increased the lead to 5-2.

Olympia Haarlem got two runs back in its fifth at bat, which also were unearned. With one out, Mariëlle Vleugels doubled and her pinch-runner Judith Buschman moved on a single by Chiya Louie, who herself advanced on the throw. And so, there were runners on second and third base with one out. Buschman then scored when an error at the plate followed on a grounder by Stephanie Ruiter. To set up a force play, the bases were loaded by walking Brenda Beers intentionally. A strikeout followed, but then Merel Oosterveld singled to bring in Louie. Ruiter was also waved home to score the tying run, but she was eliminated at the plate on a fine throw from leftfielder Lisa Waasdorp to end the inning.

In the next two innings, Terrasvogels appeared to add runs as both at bats opened with a lead-off triple. Anna-Bè Bartels led off the sixth with a triple, but then three outs followed. In the seventh, Jessie van Aalst led off with a triple. With one out, she was eliminated at the plate trying to score on a grounder and later two runners were left behind.

Olympia got a runner on third base with two outs in the sixth. With one out, Dinet Oosting singled, moved on a wild pitch and a grounder, but then stranded.

Olympia then got another scoring opportunity in the bottom of the seventh inning when it got the bases loaded. Chiya Louie led off with a single, but her pinch-runner was forced out. Brenda Beers then singled, followed by an infield-fly. Next, the bases got loaded when Merel Oosterveld also singled. Ginger de Weert then struckout Eva Voortman to end the inning and also the exciting game.
