Olympia Haarlem wins vs. Tex Town Tigers and finishes in first place
Nederlands
ALMERE (Neth.) -
FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem won 13-5 vs. Tex Town Tigers to close Day 2 and the Play-Off Weekend in Almere on Sunday (September 20).
With this, Olympia Haarlem ended in a tie with Terrasvogels to whom it lost 5-4 earlier in the day.
On Saturday, Olympia had won the first game between the two teams with a 5-1 score.
As the first tie-breaker (head-to-head results) also ended in a tie, the next tie-break was the Team Quality Balance.
That was in favor of Olympia Haarlem, which therefore finished the Play-Off Weekend in first place, followed by Terrasvogels and Tex Town Tigers (which remained winless) and that also was the ranking after completion of the regular season.
The Play-Off Weekend served as ranking round to fill in next weekend's schedule of the Holland Series Weekend in Hoofddorp.
By finishing in first place, Olympia Haarlem will face season-winner Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem in the first Play-Off game.
The winner of that game advanced to the best-of-one Holland Series on Sunday.
The loser meets the winner of the match-up between Terrasvogels and Tex Town Tigers in the backdoor best-of-one.
