Onze Gezellen opens with two wins vs. Almere '90
Nederlands
HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Onze Gezellen opened the new season in the newly created Silver League with a double victory against Almere '90 on Saturday (April 11).
The Haarlem-based team convincingly won with a 16-6 score in the opening game, then added a 5-3 victory in Game 2.
It was a rainy, windy and cold day today, but despite that, it was possible to play this double-header in Haarlem.
All other double-headers on this Opening Day in the new Silver League were bothered by the rain.
The second games of the double-headers between UVV and Ban-Topa Future Stars in Vleuten, Centrals vs. Roef! in De Bilt and Twins vs. Euro Stars in Oosterhout were all cancelled.
Ban-Topa nipped UVV 10-9 in its opener, while Roef! registered an 1-0 shutout and Twins won 3-1.
In Bussum, the first game between HCAW and Gryphons went underway, but was halted, as was the opener between Amsterdam Pirates and Zwijndrecht in Amsterdam.
